Existential Parachute Pants: A 90′s Pop Culture Podcast – Episode 9: Who Shot Mr. Burns?

90siTunes

I start this description of this week’s podcast the way we all dream of, with a caveat. This week, we welcomed comedian Kyle Clark to the show to discuss the two-part Simpsons episode “Who Shot Mr. Burns?” Unfortunately, due to some misunderstandings, Kyle recorded all three of us instead of just himself, which posed an issue when it came time to mix the episode. I did the best I could to alleviate the issues, but the audio is still not ideal. If you give it a listen, you are going to hear some echo some of the time when Seth or I talk.

However, since Kyle was a good guest, and the conversation was, I think, quite good and entertaining, I wanted to run it anyway. I mean, it’s our first episode dedicated to the best piece of pop culture in the history of the world. There is still some quality stuff in there. So, if you want to give it a listen, you have been forewarned. I hope you give it a shot, but I understand if you can only make it so far into the recording.

You can find Kyle on the Twitter at @KyleClarkIsRad. He is also the co-host of Stonecutters LA, a once monthly show at Nerdmelt in Los Angeles where they show Simpsons episode and play trivia and have guests from the show. It is a grand old time. You can check it out if you are ever in LA, and you can find more info online via @StonecuttersLA. Since I mentioned it in this episode, here is the link to the blog post where you can read the (Bill Oakley approved!) script for Speedway Squad I wrote: http://supertotallyawesome.com/speedway-squad-in-color/?utm_source=rss&utm_medium=rss&utm_campaign=speedway-squad-in-color. Of course, Existential Parachute Pants is on the Twitter as well (@ExistentialPant) as our your intrepid hosts (@ChrisXMorgan and @SethMacy).

The podcast is on iTunes: https://itunes.apple.com/us/podcast/existential-parachute-pants/id680253940. The theme song is “Her Favorite Bra” by Dan Emery Mystery Band. Thanks for listening, and promise us you never build a device to block out the Sun.
